"The UCLA Arts Library houses one of the most significant artists' book
collections in the country, encompassing works by luminaries in the field as
well as contemporary, cutting-edge artists. This auction offers the unique
opportunity for you to help secure the future of that remarkable collection
and at the same time enjoy an exciting special event.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the newly established Artist Books Fund
at the Arts Library, which supports the acquisition of artists' books as
well as exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and panel discussions. In
addition, it funds the processing, conservation, and preservation of works
in the collection.

The beautiful, thought-provoking works in this auction have been donated to
the UCLA Library with the express purpose to be sold at auction, and we
thank the many generous individuals who have given items." - Marjorie Shaw,
UCLA Library
