Posted at the request of Geert-Jan Koot, Librarian of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Rijksmuseum Amsterdam: Main Building, Print Room and Library temporarily closed - Philips Wing open Due to the discovery of asbestos, the main building of the Rijksmuseum is temporarily closed as a preventive measure to the public and staff from 29 April 2003. The Print Room, the library and the Reading Room of the Rijksmuseum are therefore temporarily not accessible to the public. The Philips Wing of the Rijksmuseum will remain open to 25 May 2003. Here you will find the exhibitions 'Hendrick Goltzius; Drawings, Prints, and Paintings' and 'Portraits in pastel' from Jean-Etienne Liotard, the collection of Asiatic art and the presentation of European art at the Rijksmuseum.
