I have only asked one other question of this listserv, but received such a wonderful response that I'm going to pose another question!
I work for a small architectural firm that has quite a limited budget. Although they understand and believe in proper archival maintenance and storage, there is only so much that a small amount of money can do (as I'm sure everyone knows!). We have a consistently growing slide collection, and our Neumade cabinets are quickly filling. Since a new Neumade 5-drawer cabinet costs on the order of $300+, and I'm having a hard time convincing my superiors to spend money to purchase a set, I was wondering if any of you out there had any brilliant ideas for viable storage alternatives for slides. I'd like to have a few options to present them with, all the while pushing for the Neumade drawers! I'm hoping for archival-quality ideas here, but would appreciate any information that anyone may have, or any ideas that may arise.
