Dear ARLIS Colleagues--

The Digital Library for the Decorative Arts,
produced by the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Libraries, with support from the Chipstone
Foundation of Fox Point, Wisconsin,
would like to announce a new addition to
the resources it provides to the general
and scholarly public.

Please use the following "handle" (permanent URL)
if you create a link from your website:
http://digital.library.wisc.edu/1711.dl/DLDecArts

The new addition is a locally-created
image database of Early American furniture. The
link to "Chipstone Collection Images" from the
above page allows the user to search or browse
480 images of more than 100 pieces of furniture
belonging to the Chipstone Foundation.

The DLDecArts also provides full-text electronic
facsimiles of texts significant for the study of
American decorative arts and material culture.
Twelve titles, some multi-volume, are currently
available. For the complete annotated title list, see:
http://libtext.library.wisc.edu/DLDecArts/About.html

We appreciate comments, including notification
of any access difficulties and feedback on how
you make use of these resources for teaching or
research. Email us at: [log in to unmask]

Or feel free to contact me personally!
