The Smithsonian Institution Libraries announces a new virtual display
"Drawing from Life: Caricatures and Cartoons from the American Art /
Portrait Gallery Collection". The resource can be seen at
http://www.sil.si.edu/ondisplay/caricatures/index.htm.
The web site features books on cartoons and caricatures published between
1813 and 1917. Kent C. Boese, Fine Arts Cataloger, is the curator.
