I am posting this for the VRA Secretary.
John
Greetings from the Snow-free West!
Two days remain for
the pre-registration to stay open for the
VRA 21st Annual Conference
in
Houston, TX April 8-13, 2003.
It's not too late to take advantage of the discounted
pre-registration
rates for the upcoming sojourn to the Bayou City. Go to
http://www.VRAweb.org/2003conference/main.htmland preregister
on-line,
instantly, with the convenience of Paypal and the sure knowledge that
you
needn't go hunting for a stamp and race to a post office (hard to race
in
snow up to one's hairline, isn't it?) in order to make the
postmark
deadline of February 21. There is still time, events are still
open, but
some won't be for long.
A wide variety of tours beckon, as do Texas-sized topics
for
Workshops, Sessions, Seminars and Special Interest Groups.
To mention
just a few social events, the gala Luraine Tansey FUNdraising
Dinner
promises to be entertaining, as always. Our Member's Gathering
will
celebrate the recipients of VRA's Travel, Distinguished Service, and
Nancy
DeLaurier Achievement Awards with sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and a cash
bar.
There will be a VRA MFAH Free Day at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston,
mere
paces from the lovely Warwick Hotel. Wander its splendid
corridors and
galleries knowing that just outside the sun is shining, grass is
green,
flowers are in bloom, and your mukluks are not required at all.
Tempted
yet? Good!
Tick... tick... tick... it's not too late!
Meet you at the Registration Desk,
Patricia McRae, VRA Secretary
