DEPARTMENT: Libraries/Archives
- REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in
Library and Information Science; Masters in Art History or equivalent.
Experience with RLIN and MARC cataloging; mapping data fields in library
on-line public access catalogs; authority work for library and archive
collections.
- RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary
duties include responsibility for cataloging of rare pamphlets, brochures
and checklists found in the Archives. Includes creation of MARC records
in RLIN and maintenance of MARC records both in RLIN and an on-line
catalog; mapping of MARC data fields for select records into the on-line
catalog; perform appropriate authority work on project related MARC and
AMC records; assist with implementation of the on-line catalog.
Experience with EAD is desirable.
WORK SCHEDULE: 20 hours a week for a
maximum of 2 years
