Dear Stan,
The AKL ist still distributed by K.G.Saur directly with invoices in
Euros. Only in extreme cases they would bill in US $ (whatever extreme
means). The other distributor is Harrassowitz. Early next year Gale
will take over the distribution and will be able to invoice customers
in U.S. Dollars. The Gale distribution manager is Drew Kalasky (ext.
1606).
This year we paid 210 Euros per volume, the price often depends on the
exchange rate.
Unfortunately, Mary Marshall resigned from K.G.Saur around 2 years ago.
She was very helpful with this publisher and publication.

Can anyone let me know if there is still a U.S. distributor for the
Allgemeines Kunstlerlexikon? The K.G. Saur North America office in
Dayton, Ohio seems to have closed. Do they still have an office in the
U.S. since the takeover by Gale? Two years ago I got a quote from Mary
Marshall from Saur, offering a pretty good discount, but unfortunately
we weren't ready to purchase. I have seen the German web site with
prices in Euros.
