On a related note...

We unknowingly purchased a PAL video (a faculty purchase request) and 
eventually had it converted so that it could be viewed here. The conversion 
cost $15 at a local business. I was told this wasn't a violation of 
copyright regs. Would the copyright mavens out there agree?
