ARLIS/NA Executive Board Slate of Candidates and Call for Nominations In accordance with Article IX of the ARLIS/NA bylaws (http://www.arlisna.org/bylaws.htm), the Nominating Committee is pleased to present the following slate of candidates for Executive Board offices to be filled in 2002: Vice President/President-Elect: Jeanne Brown (University of Nevada-Las Vegas) Secretary: Judith Herschman (University of California, Los Angeles) Northeast Regional Representative: Carol Graney (University of the Arts, Philadelphia) Midwest Regional Representative: Suzy Frechette (St. Louis Public Library) South Regional Representative: Laura Schwartz (University of Texas at Austin) The candidates' biographical information and photos are available on the ARLIS/NA Web site at: http://www.arlisna.org/candidates.html CALL FOR NOMINATIONS As set forth in Art. IX Sect. 4, Nominations for these offices may also be entered by petition of at least 10 members eligible to vote. Each nomination must be accompanied by documentation consisting of statement of acceptance, a portrait photograph (or surrogate - jpg or gif file preferred), and a brief biography, and résumé outlining professional accomplishments (Word format). Supporting documentation must be received by the Chair of the Nominating Committee at the address provided below no later than October 10, 2002, 30 calendar days from the date of this announcement. If the committee receives no additional nominations by the deadline, the slate will be considered elected by acclamation.
