Dear Colleagues,
A new document entitled "Downloading and Installing the Madison
Digital Image Database" has been posted on the MDID website at
http://cit.jmu.edu/mdidinfo. This PDF document, for use by
server administrators, provides a step-by-step guide through the
process of downloading and installing the MDID teaching and
learning tool. It will help you download the self-extracting
MDID installer; run the setup.exe program to install the MDID
software; demonstrate the use of the slideshow builder; and
troubleshoot problems. The document was created this summer by
Kimberly J. Clower, a Graduate Intern in the James Madison
University Institute of Technical and Scientific Communication,
directed by Dr. Alice I. Philbin. We thank Kimberly for her
work in developing this useful aide.
