Be a Friend: The Art of Developing a Friends Group for a Special Population Library ALA Annual Conference in Atlanta Saturday, June 15, 4:00 - 5:30 pm Georgia World Congress Center - Room A404 Libraries that serve populations with special needs often have unique service delivery challenges. These challenges can be met with the assistance of a Friends group. By forming this special volunteer group libraries are able to participate in more outreach in their local communities as well as provide more programs of interest to their patrons.
