This is primarily a question for museum librarians but I'm open to suggestions from anyone with good advice. I am wondering what kind of database museum librarians use for documenting auction catalogues that are not given full cataloging records. We are still using hand written entries in notebooks. I'd like to find a database that would be easy to use (perhaps by volunteers or students) that could later be transferred to an OPAC system.
