Could use some help, please send any articles which
would reinforce arguments for preserving more historic
buildings in the St. Louis downtown area. I need help
in remembering one particular note in the newsletter
of Preservation (forum) or the newsletter of the
Society of Architectural Historians, sometime in 1999
or 2000. I remember just a short paragraph about a
study maybe by the government that indicated older
buildings had fewer maintenance costs then new
buildings.  The long term results indicated that older
buildings were better investments.

If anyone can find a copy handy, please forward the
note to the above.
