A reminder on the ILL Discussion Group that will meet at the conference in St. Louis: As Marcy Neth announced last month, the ILL group discussion will follow on the heels of the Reference & Information Services Section (RISS) meeting, in the same venue. RISS should run from noon to 1:15, and ILL can flow from that, from 1:15 to 2:00. This arrangement should simplify things for those wishing to attend either or both sections. We would welcome topics for discussion related to interlibrary loan matters. If you'd care to write me with ideas, I'll sort the items into an agenda we can work through in the 45 minutes. For now, I expect we'll address the perennial issues: packaging, bundling multiple requests; the RLG and OCLC management products; rare books/auction catalogs/microforms, and overseas transactions. I'd also like to take the chance to poll the group on things like how interlibrary borrowing relates to your acquisitions & collection development, where you find foreign language materials, local consortia, and your experience with web request forms. Perhaps most productive and enjoyable will be the chance for Arlis ILL librarians to get to meet or revisit with one another, so I hope everyone involved with lending or borrowing will join us following the RISS meeting. See you that Sunday afternoon!
