NEW CD ROM EDITION OF THE "DICTIONARY OF THE KHAZARS"

"Multimedia" announces the publication of a new, electronically enhanced edition of Milorad Pavic's novel "Dictionary of the Khazars". On a
compact disc, the devotees of this book will find its English, Greek, Hebrew,
and Turkish translations, in addition to the original text in Serbian language.
This CD ROM edition is richly adorned with illustrations by Katarina
Janjic and Nenad Zeljic, and the text is accompanied by music. The compact
disc allows reading sections of the "Dictionary of the Khazars" in arbitrary
order and a direct access to various points in the novel (by clicking on chosen
signs given in the text, the reader can jump to different sections, create and
save his own path through the novel, or return to the starting point). Otherwise, the reader may simply choose to read straight through the novel or
to leave it to the computer to generate a reading path.
The CD ROM also contains footage of the author speaking.
The CD ROM edition of the "Dictionary of the Khazars" can be obtained

Eine neue CD-ROM-Ausgabe des Pavic-Romans "Das Chasarische Woerterbuch"
erschien dieser Tage in der Belgrader "Multimedia". Neben dem serbischen
Originaltext enthaelt der Datentraeger auch die Uebersetzungen dieses Romans
ins Englische, Griechische, Hebraeische und Tuerkische.
Die Compact Disc ist mit Gemaelden von Katarina Janjic und Nenad Zeljic
reich illustriert und mit Musik begleitet. Auf digitalem Wege ermoeglicht die
CD eine sprunghafte Lektuere "Das Chasarische Woerterbuch". (Durch das Aktivieren gewuenschter Symbole im Text kann der Leser seinen eigenen Weg durch
den Roman waehlen bzw. die unterbrochene Lektuere automatisch fortsetzen).
Wenn er das nicht will, kann er den Roman auf klassische Art und Weise lesen
oder den automatisch vorprogrammierten Weg befolgen.

"Multimedia" heeft dezer dagen een nieuwe, technologisch vervolmaakte
uitgave van Pavic' roman "Het Chazaars woordenboek" uitgebracht. Op de compact
disc vinden de liefhebbers van dit boek naast het Servische origineel, de
Engelse, Griekse, Hebreeuwse en Turkse vertaling van "Het Chazaars
woordenboek".
Deze CD ROM is overdadig geillustreerd met werken van Katarina Janjic
en Nenad Zeljic, en muziek begeleidt de tekst. De compact disc maakt
niet-lineaire (verspringende) lezing van "Het Chazaars woordenboek" langs
digitale weg mogelijk. Indien de lezer dat niet wenst, heeft hij de
mogelijkheid de roman op de klassieke manier te lezen, of de leesroute toe te

multimedia del libro "Dicionario Kazar", de Milorad Pavic, en CD-ROM. Es una
edici=F3n electr=F3nica que permite al lector tener contacto con la lengua
original de la novela (serbio) y tambi=E9n con traducciones en ingl=E9s,
griego, hebraico y turco.
Adem=E1s, hay ilustraciones de Katarina Janjic y Nenad Zeljic y
m=FAsicas diversas. Se puede leer la novela no-linearmente, de manera tal que
los lectores podr=E1n buscar las combinaciones que ser=E1n gravadas por el

Tranne di leggere alla maniera classica il CD ROM da’ anche’ la possibilita’ di
leggere alla maniera non lineare, cioe’ se il lettore vuole, potrebbe leggerlo
