Hello,

I'd like to set up another informal Solo Librarians discussion group at this year's annual conference in St. Louis.

Last year's Solo Librarians discussion group revolved around such topics as time management, communication skills, and staffing. Collection maintenance, space issues, weeding, off-site storage, and library automation were briefly discussed, and potential future topics such as outsourcing, use of temporary employees, and work-study interns were identified.

If you are interested in attending this discussion group, please let me know your preferences for meeting dates and times and also for topics you'd like to have included in the agenda.

In addition, you may be interested in an Ask ARLIS seminar that Paul Glassman and I are co-moderating scheduled for Saturday, March 23 at 2:00-3:30 p.m. entitled, "Me, Myself, and I: the Solo Professional."
