KA: If you have a Seattle Public Library card, you can log into their subscription to Proquest, a database which includes 12 local WA newspapers, plus the New York Times. I'd definitely try a look in the NYT. These sorts of quirky surveys are often reported in regional and national newspapers.Would supplement what you find via the Avery. It's a shame you're not from the UK. If you were, you could always use the pronouncements of HRH Prince Charles, as he's had a lot to say about architecture. Oh well. And, on surveys in general, there was a particularly quirky one reported this week (nothing to do with architecture, but rather that ever popular topic: one's health. It's a report about some medical study that says that if you sleep longer than 8 hours per night, you're more likely to drop dead. Now I'd really like to check out the details of who they surveyed on that one. Best wishes Cathy Donaldson Library Director Art Institute of Seattle __________________________________________________________________ Mail submissions to [log in to unmask] Administrative matters (file requests, subscription requests, etc) to [log in to unmask] ARLIS-L Archives and subscription maintenance: http://lsv.uky.edu/archives/arlis-l.html Questions may be addressed to list owner (Kerri Scannell) at: [log in to unmask]
