Dear all,

Two quick questions:
We have some extra money at our library to purchase reference works (yes, I
am quite astounded as well, especially in this day and budget conscious
age). Anyway, I do want to take advantage of this offer. Ergo, has anyone
seen or even ordered the forthcoming:
Encyclopedia of Sculpture (Fitzroy Dearborn, Feb. 2002)?
It's $385 (which of course means $5,000 in Canadian funds!), so I want to
hear what people are saying about it in re. to scope, content, etc.

Also, does anyone know of an Index for Photographs (i.e. by title of
photograph). I spent quite a while on Friday searching for an image by R.
Mapplethorpe and would have found such a resource quite invaluable. What
about the:
International photography: George Eastman House index to
photographers, collections, and exhibitions (G.K. Hall, NY/Prentice
Hall International, 1998)?
It is $395 (US--sigh). Is it truly International in scope? What is the
coverage like for Canadian photographic images?

I'd appreciate muchly any input on this matter. Sincerely,
Daniel
