RESOURCES MANAGER
Hillwood Museum & Gardens is seeking a Visual Resources Manager. The
candidate will oversee, care for, conserve, and organize the museum's
collection of slides, transparencies, photographs, and electronic images.
Other key responsibilities include handling inside and outside requests,
copyrights, and permissions, and the development of a visual image
database and a system for digitizing collections. The position is
located under the Collections division.
Candidate must have knowledge of new technologies and standards for
cataloging and storing visual collections. Experience in shooting and
mounting 35 mm. slides is preferred. Some reading knowledge of European
languages (French, German, and/or Russian) is desirable. BA in Art
History, Museum Studies, Photography, or related field is required.
This is a part-time position (25-32 hour week) with benefits. To apply,
