2002 ARLIS/NA-VRA ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN ST. LOUIS

WORKSHOP: More Fundamentals for Visual Resources Curators/Librarians

Workshop Leaders: Karin S. Whalen, Reed College; John Taormina, Duke University
Enrollment limit: 55; Fee: $40.00

This workshop-a follow-up to the successful visual resources workshop
offered at the 2001 VRA Annual Conference in Chicago-is designed for
new visual resources curators and librarians to introduce them to the
fundamentals of visual resources management and offer them guidance
in the effective administration of an image collection in the digital
age. Whereas last year's workshop concentrated on general
administration, supplies, budgeting, statistics, and record-keeping,
this four-hour workshop will focus on personnel issues, circulation
and reference, facilities and space planning, and policies and
procedures. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.

This workshop is generously sponsored by the Department of Art and
Art History at Rice University.
