TASI, The Technical Advisory Service for Images, is pleased to announce the latest series of its highly successful hands-on image capture workshops, suitable for all levels. Dates 13th March Beginners Capture 14th March Intermediate Capture 20th March Intermediate Capture 21st March Advanced Capture Workshops cost £125 for those from Higher or Further Education or £150 for those from Government, charities, libraries, galleries or museums. Bookings can be made at http://www.tasi.ac.uk/training/bookingform.html Beginner's Capture is aimed at those with little or no experience in scanning or using digital cameras. You will learn about resolution, bit depth, file types and image enhancement. You will have the opportunity to scan, use a camera and adjust your images. Intermediate Capture may particularly appeal to those involved at the front line of digitisation projects, or using images in teaching. You will calibrate your system, learn how to calculate appropriate file sizes, compare images at varying bit-depths and consider what is appropriate image processing. Advanced Capture is for those who already have a competent grasp on the basics of image capture.
