ARLIS-L members, A while back it was requested that I send out a reminder on how to send basic commands to change or cancel your ARLIS-L subscription. With a new year starting it has taken me a while to get to this, but here goes. First, there will hopefully be a brief article on the changes that happened to ARLIS-L last fall in an upcoming UPDATE. So the commands below will also be available in there for those of you who get that issue. Second, let me reiterate that if you ever have a problem with the list, with commands that you send, you forget how to do something, or just have a question about how something works, please do not hesitate to contact me and we can work it out. Most things are pretty easy fixes. And now for those commands: Listserv commands: § Always send requests to: [log in to unmask] § To subscribe send a message to the above address, no subject heading, text should be: SUBSCRIBE ARLIS-L your_full_name § To signoff the list send a message to the above address, no subject heading, text should be: SIGNOFF ARLIS-L This must be sent from the address to which you are currently subscribed. § To stop mail temporarily (while on vacation, sabbatical, etc.) send a message to the above address, no subjecting heading, text should be: SET ARLIS-L NOMAIL This must be sent from the address to which you are currently subscribed. § To receive mail again, send a message to the above address, no subject heading, text should be: SET ARLIS-L MAIL This must be sent from the address to which you are currently subscribed. § To change your email address, send a message to the above address, no subject heading, text should be: CHANGE ARLIS-L new@address This must be sent from the address to which you are currently subscribed. § To get a list of ALL commands possible, send a message to the above address, no subject heading, text should be: REFCARD This must be sent from the address to which you are currently subscribed.
