....Also under the rubric of self-promotion lies another
problem - institutional politics. Many of us (perhaps most) are not the
"mover and shaker" type, and don't wish to rock our respective
institutional boats. Bearing all the above in mind, I don't know if our
economic situation will change much anytime in the foreseeable future. But
I think we owe it to ourselves and to future librarians to try.
