Kelly Fiske Appointed Director of Worldwide Books

January 2002 — Ithaca, NY. The Kraus Organization Ltd. (www.krausorgltd.com)
is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly M. Fiske as Director of
Worldwide Books. Mr. Fiske served as Associate Director of Worldwide for
eleven years, during which time he was involved in all aspects of the
company’s services to art libraries. In 1992, Mr. Fiske was instrumental in
establishing the company’s trade book program, which greatly expanded
Worldwide’s long-standing coverage of art exhibition catalogues. He directed
the program from 1998 through 2000. He also helped create Worldwide’s
pioneering Web site (www.worldwide-artbooks.com), which since 1996 has
provided librarians with access to the company’s unique bibliographic
database of more than 50,000 art titles. Mr. Fiske returns to Worldwide
Books after providing exhibition and publication consulting services to
various museums in New York State. Mr. Fiske will manage Worldwide’s
operations, ensuring the continuation and quality of the company’s
acquisition services to art libraries in the United States and abroad.

For more than 30 years, Worldwide Books has been the foremost specialist in
the selection, review, and distribution of museum and gallery publications.
Once regarded as highly specialized and ephemeral art reference materials,
exhibition catalogues are now prominent in the collections of nearly all art
libraries. Evaluating thousands of new catalogues published by hundreds of
institutions around the globe, Worldwide annually selects more than 1,000
museum and gallery publications to recommend to its library customers.
Worldwide also offers comprehensive coverage of art books published or
distributed by scores of American trade and university presses, each year
selecting some 2000 titles in this category. Worldwide’s selections are made
available to customers through sophisticated approval plans and through
selective order services. An important source for detailed information on
exhibition publications, Worldwide has reviewed and indexed more than 50,000
noteworthy titles since the 1960s, all of which are included in its online
database. Worldwide Books maintains an extensive backlist that currently
encompasses more than 18,000 titles, including many catalogues that are now
out of print.
