Dear ARLIS/NA members and friends, With the recent announcement of John Benjamins' generous donation, the ARLIS/NA Conference Speakers Fund stands at approximately $15,000. In order to reach our financial goal of $35,000 by the end of 2003, and initiate an annual award in 2004, we need your support. Please consider directing your charitable donations this year and next year to the ARLIS/NA Conference Speakers Fund. If you are planning to attend the joint ARLIS/NA-VRA Conference, you can support the ARLIS/NA Speakers Fund by donating an item to the Silent Auction and participating in the event. It will be a lot of fun and 50% of the proceeds will benefit the ARLIS/NA Conference Speakers Fund. Mark Pompelia has just posted the 2002 Silent Auction website http://vraweb.org/2002silentauction where you can find further information on how to make a donation and, in the near future, browse the donations. If you wish to make a cash donation directly to the Fund, there are two you can do so. (1) ARLIS/NA Membership Renewal Form The Membership Form is available as a pdf file (readable using Adobe's free Acrobat Reader) on the ARLIS/NA Web Site AWS at http://www.arlisna.org/ANAmemform2001_revised.pdf The link to this form is located at the top of the Membership Information page at http://www.arlisna.org/membership.html There is a Contribution section on the form which includes ARLIS/NA Conference Speakers Fund. (2) Direct Donation If you have already renewed your membership, you can still make a donation directly to the Fund.
