Kay Teel's response to the email re art cataloging is the best, most succinct I have ever seen! And, by the way, her Guidelines for Cataloging Art Exhition Catalogs (sponsored by ARLIS' Cataloging Advisory Committee) is really fine too. I just printed it out, though it is designed to be used as an online resource. These two resources, together with the excellent papers from last year's cataloging workshop form a really good basic art cataloging text. Perhaps it could all be put together as an ARLIS Occasional Paper sponsored by the Cataloging Advisory Committee?
