Geometr415 Blk BTBryn Mawr College Reference Librarian - Art, Archaeology, and Growth and Structure of Cities SEARCH REOPENED Bryn Mawr College Library is seeking a highly motivated individual to play a major instructional role in the Rhys Carpenter Library for the History of Art, Archaeology, and the Cities programs. Primary responsibilities include providing a full range of reference, information retrieval, and research instruction; developing finding aids, and other tools that improve the usability of the collection; collection development; developing/maintaining library and subject web sites, and playing an active role in planning and policy-making for the Library. The position reports directly to the Head of the Rhys Carpenter Library for Art, Archaeology, and Cities. Required: An MLS from an ALA-accredited institution; an undergraduate degree in one of the subject areas listed above or a closely related area of study; knowledge of current Web editing tools and techniques; and a reading knowledge of at least one modern western European language. Preferred: Some graduate work or experience in one of the subject fields; experience troubleshooting multi-platform equipment; experience or a strong interest in instructional pedagogy.
