Fellow Librarians:
Would college librarians please share with me what you do to students who
return books with damage, which you can prove they are responsible for? I
recently had a book returned with images cut-out of it, which the student
was found to have in their possession. Besides charging them to replace the
materials, do you fine them, or have any other interesting means of showing
them this behavior will not be tolerated?? Thanks for your input.
