The primary function of this position is to catalog and classify library materials in English and modern European languages using RLIN and in accordance with AACR2, MARC format, and local practices. The Cataloger will also perform cataloging and make record adjustments in the local system after finding the appropriate record on RLIN as well as create all authority records associated with the bibliographic record. Must have an ALA accredited MLS degree. An undergraduate degree in Art History is desirable or coursework in art history and an equivalent combination of training and work experience. One year of library cataloging experience working with online databases preferred. Familiarity with OCLC or RLIN databases and understanding of MARC format is highly desirable.
