This is a full-day program (beginning at 8AM and ending at 5PM) that combines lectures, workshops, and ample opportunities for q&a. While there is no registration fee, registration is required to guarantee your place; space is limited. Registration deadline: November 9, 2001. The NINCH Copyright Town Meetings seek to balance expert opinion and audience participation on the basics of copyright law, the implications of copyright online, recent changes in copyright law and practice, and practical issues related to the networking of cultural heritage materials. The program will include plenty of time for audience questions, comments and discussion. At Eugene, the program will feature a stellar panel of experts, including: * Laura N. Gasaway, Director of the Law Library & Professor of Law, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill * Georgia K. Harper, Manager, Intellectual Property Section, The University of Texas System, Office of General Counsel * Kenneth D.
