It is not too late for ARLIS/OV members and others who may be interested to
make plans to attend the Fall meeting in Toledo, Ohio, on October 5th-6th.
Anne Morris, head librarian of the Toledo Museum of Art, will be hosting the
chapter business meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5th. Following
that, attendees are free to tour her facilities and the Museum. The TMA will
be open Friday night and will be offering music and a lecture. On Saturday,
attendees have the option of attending an all-day seminar at the TMA: "The
Art and Legacy of Michelangelo." The seminar is free but does require
reservations. Among its various exhibition offerings, the TMA is now showing
"Michelangelo: Drawings and Other Treasures from the Casa Buonarroti,
Florence." Toledo is the second and last venue for this collection of
rarely-seen Michelangelo drawings and other works of art acquired by the
Buonarroti family.
