Hi all We have been unsuccessful in requesting the acquisition of a scanner for our Fine Arts Library.Even though we have raised the money for the scanner and software through booksales and have articulated several projects which would require one. We heard a lecture about the "virtual reference desk" from a librarian in San Jose, Calif.,and the use of scanners for fine arts reference work was mentioned. Very cutting edge. Does anyone use a scanner for reference work? Suggesting this possibility to our administration may help us in our quest to get the scanner. *************************************************************** ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Diana E.M.
