Dear colleagues: Today the telephone services in NYC have improved. The public transportation is better too. Today there is partial access to NYC from tunnels and bridges: Transportation on the west side of Manhattan is restricted in several places south of 34th STreet. The area below 14 street continues to be closed from river to river for private transportation at this time. Major Giuliani announced this am. that they are working to open more streets down to Houston for traffic in the afternoon. Just a reminder that NYC emergency information is available via the official website: http://www.nyc.gov/html/misc/html/2001/emerg_news.html Includes information on transportation in particular.
