*Volunteer for the VRD 2001 Conference and Receive Free Registration*

The Virtual Reference Desk Project seeks volunteers for the VRD 2001
Digital Reference Conference, "Setting Standards and Making It Real," to
be held November 12-13 in Orlando, Florida. The conference explores issues
in delivering effective digital reference service in a variety of
contexts, as well as setting standards to ensure quality.

Approximately 800 people are expected to participate in this year's
conference at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando. Attendees come from a wide
variety of organizations, including libraries and information centers,
government, education, and industry.

Volunteers receive free registration to the 2-day conference, and are
welcome to attend the VRD Awards Reception on Monday evening, November 12.
