Puh-leeze, can we give it a rest? EVERYbody's experience is unique and valid. Some students fall all over me because I have saved them hours of time by sharing with them my expertise at database searching while not making them feel stupid or ignorant; some don't know there's a library on campus. They all get what they are going to get out of their university experience. Some librarians have rigorous subject training; some don't. Some people's buttons get pushed easily; some people are more mellow. My point? The ad hominem attack messages coming through now mean that this discussion has given all it has to offer to the list-group as a whole and it's time for those who are still passionately interested to move it off-list. (Yes, I can delete the unwanted messages, and will--but even that takes more time and attention than I can give it.) Time to put it to bed. --shannon __________________________________________________________________ Mail submissions to [log in to unmask] Administrative matters (file requests, subscription requests, etc) to [log in to unmask] ARLIS-L Archives and subscription maintenance: http://lsv.uky.edu/archives/arlis-l.html Questions may be addressed to list owner (Kerri Scannell) at: [log in to unmask]
