LIBRARIAN
Times New RomanThe International Center of
Photography seeks a Librarian for the management of its collection of
10,000 books on photography and other research material. The Library,
which will move to its new home on Sixth Avenue and 43rd Street, is open
to museum members, students and researchers. In addition to its
collection of books, the Library houses an extensive periodicals
collection, as well as audio, videotapes, and a clippings collections.
Times New RomanThe Librarian will have primary
responsibility in designing and implementing a retrospective cataloguing
program, will hire and supervise both part-time and volunteer staff, and
will work closely with program staff to develop library policy and
systems.
Times New RomanQualifications include and MLS
degree, experience with art libraries, knowledge of cataloguing
procedures and systems. Experience in managing a cataloguing project is
required.
