We are seeking a Librarian to help manage day-to-day operations in its growing Library/Learning Resource Center. Incumbent would coordinate Reference and Circulation Services, supervise student library clerks and participate in Collection Development, Technical Services, faculty outreach, and long-term planning efforts. This position reports to the Director of Library Services and is an integral part of the Education Team. Some Evening/Weekend hours may be required. Qualified candidates must possess an ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS and previous experience in an academic library setting. Previous experience cataloging or equivalent coursework is preferred. Experience with systems support or circulation experience with a library automation system is also preferred. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and strong service orientation; facility with managing multiple projects and priorities; comfort with technology; demonstrated interest in working with undergraduate and faculty; and creative problem-solving skills. This position is available after October 1, 2001. Salary: $35,000 to $40,000 per year.
