Arlis members: We have a lot of archive material in photographies, newspaper cuttings etc., concerning activities ) inaugurations, visits, people browsing the museum, local parties)in Museo de Arte de Lima since 1961, the year of its foundation. This material is not classified at all. Continuosly there is a demand from journalists that need this material to state the history of Museo de Arte etc. My question is: What is the best way I could have this material at hand easily. Is a weeding worth before archiving it? I have classified it by years in a vertical file. But perhaps it would preferable to classify it by building, people, showroonms, etc. Thanks a lot in advance...
