New Castle, DE, March 30, 2001 - The International League of Antiquarian
Booksellers (ILAB), representing about 2,000 leading dealers in the world,
offers a unique new service - the best antiquarian books, manuscripts,
maps, prints and autographs can now be traced and ordered online, thanks to
a sophisticated new search engine - the only one in the world which
provides full text-search including 28 special characters such as the
Scandinavian ä, the French ç, the Spanish ñ, the German ß, and the
Portuguese õ. The search engine has now been installed in ILAB’s Internet
web site www.ilab-lila.com, where booksellers from Europe, Asia, Africa,
America and Australia present their rare and precious goods.

Separate searches on many criteria include not only author and title,
but also description, publisher (date and place), edition (any or first),
dust jacket, binding, dedication, price, keywords, dealer’s country and
recently added books, thus enabling users to find all information
wanted in short time and with no effort. They can search in the separate
parts - books, prints and maps, and autographs - or start a combined search
in all three sections. The web site is bilingual (English and French).

The ILAB warrants that all books, manuscripts, maps, prints and
autographs are described professionally, and that all material offered is
authentic. The league publishes and upholds a code of ethics which is based
on its more that 50 years of practice and on the wide experience of leading
international booksellers, and which is obligatory for all national
associations affiliated to the ILAB as well as for their members - dealers
who deserve the buyers’ confidence. No other book-searching web site can
guarantee so much expertise and consumer protection. ***
