Dear Mr von Bischofshausen,
He is probably the same person who is in the Saur Allgemeines
Kuenstlerlexikon, vol. 10, under Bigot, Aquiles 1809-1884. He died in Costa
Rica. There were possibly two; see under "Bigot, Achille-Clement", as well
as "Bigot, Achiles".

A patron of the library wants information on an french (?) artist
(painter, sculptor?) who travelled to Peru and painted in Peru en the
XIX century. His name is Achille Bigot. We have already chacked
out Benezit and so far nothing has been found out. Can any of you
help in this?
