Liesel, I answered this question off-list, but thought the following email that was posted on the RLG Services Discussion Forum might be of interest to you. Apologies for duplication. Regards, Sharon ********************************************** Sharon Vaughn-Lahman Product Manager, Citation Resources Research Libraries Group 1200 Villa Street Mountain View, CA 94041-1100 USA Telephone: 650.691-2276 Fax: 650.964.0943 Email: [log in to unmask] ********************************************** ----------------------------------------------------------- Improved Eureka Export functions and Other Changes A few visible and less-visible changes to Eureka will be installed this Friday, April 20, 2001. LOCATIONS In RLG Union Catalog bibliographic displays, the labels "Version" and "Versions" have been replaced by "Location" and "Locations." Information previously appearing with the "Location" and "Locations" labels (from USMARC holdings fields and the RLIN LOC field) now appear without field labels. As before, the "Full with Locations" export option will list all locations for each record. EXPORT FOR BIBLIOGRAPHIES The ProCite and EndNote export formats have been updated to make the best use of current ProCite and EndNote releases. For ProCite, this means that Eureka now exports all 47 fields for each record (45 fields plus null record ID and workform indicator). For EndNote, reference types are now flagged using %0 fields, and journal articles are correctly identified as such. For both formats, electronic addresses (URLs) are now exported. Identification of date, volume, issue, and pagination for journal articles has been improved. After minor global edits (as detailed in Eureka Help), Eureka ProCite export files should be recognized correctly using ProCite 5's Import Text option with no special handling required. The same is true for EndNote, using the Refer/BibIX import option in EndNote. Thank you for filling me in Liesel Nolan Head, Art/Architecture Library University of Colorado at Boulder The option to export records in the ProCite form is clearly listed as being available in the Eureka version of the RLIN bibliographic database. However, even with the help of our ProCite instructor we cannot get the records to load into a ProCite database. Is anyone out there doing this? Can you please tell us what the settings are in your ProCite database? Did you have to change some configuration file? Thank you.
