Dear Margaret:
There was a 16-page brochure for the Australian exhibit at the 1939 New York World's Fair. It was designed by Australian artist / graphic designer Douglas Annand. I have a copy in stock. The cover is a wonderful example of modern graphic design in several colors: a photo-collage of a kangaroo superimposed on the Australian flag over a partial map of Australia composed of Australian flowers. The graphic design throughout is quite exciting from a modernist strandpoint. I share this with the membership as I have a very large collection of rare and out-of-print publications on Australian art, and welcome any desiderata lists on the subject.
