Assistant Librarian : Delaware Art Museum
The Helen Farr Sloan Library of the Delaware Art Museum is seeking a part-time (19hrs/wk, $10.00 per hour) librarian to assist in the operation of the museum's fine art research library and archives.  This position is ideal for a student wishing to have some real-world experience in a museum special library.  Under the direction of the head librarian, the assistant librarian helps to complete the daily tasks of a special library including: technical services (cataloguing, acquisitions, serial control) and reference tasks (answering reference queries from patrons in the library, email, and via the telephone). The assistant librarian will also undertake special projects relating to the library general collection, archives, and special collections.  The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, an attention to detail, and an interest in and knowledge of American art. Working toward an MLS degree from an ALA accredited program preferred.
