My question to Max about Carnegie slides' "other avenues
of distribution" appeared on ARLIS-L on Mon. Feb. 19.
On Saturday Feb. 17 I heard from Carmon Colangelo,
University of Georgia School of Art, that UGA is actively
working with the Sandak images. He estimates that the
"slides will probably be available again in the
next year or so. I would like to assure you and your colleagues that
the 4x5 negatives are in good shape and the collection is in loving
hands with every intention of making it available to scholars,
educators and art enthusiasts again."
This very good news will become sweeter once the
slides are actually available once again.
