Visual Resources Librarian (Co-Coordinator of Auxiliary Services)

The Morton R. Godine Library seeks a Visual Resources Librarian to join
a team leadership environment.  This position oversees slide library
services including systems, cataloging, reference, circulation, and
development of slide and digital image collections.  The Visual
Resources Librarian is also a co-coordinator of Auxiliary Services and
as such is responsible for collaborative planning and implementation in
areas related to Visual Resources, AV/Media Services, and Archives. All
coordinators share responsibility for library-wide services development,
collaborative decision making, problem solving, policy/procedure
writing, planning, staff training and supervision.  MassArt librarians
participate in collection development and in provision of reference
services.  This is a faculty, tenure-track position.

Required qualifications: MLS or equivalent, background in the visual
arts (BFA, BA in Art Education or Art History, and/or advanced arts
related degree preferred), a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a
visual resources collection.  Resume review will begin 3-8-2001.
Starting date ASAP.  Open until filled. Salary commensurate with
experience.
