Colleagues:

This is a call to the membership for volunteers for
Vice-Moderator/Moderator-Elect for the Women and Art Round Table.  The
Women and Art Round Table of ARLIS/NA is composed of members concerned with
documenting women's contributions to the visual arts and ensuring that
materials relating to women artists, curators, museum and gallery
directors, educators, and collectors are accessible in libraries and visual
resources collections. This round table focuses attention and bibliographic
expertise on a new sector of art scholarship from a muitidisciplinarv
approach. Its goal is to help scholars rediscover women in the history of
the visual arts and encourage librarians and visual resources curators to
collect materials on women artists for their institutions. The Women and
Art Round Table will participate in all ARLIS/NA activities by sponsoring
sessions at the annual conference in cooperation with other ARLIS/NA
groups. The Round Table will also submit material to Art Documentation and
Update.
