Error during command authentication.
Error - unable to initiate communication with LISTSERV (errno=10061, phase=CONNECT, target=127.0.0.1:2306). The server is probably not started.
The following message appears in the February issue of Update. I thought I would distribute it on ARLIS-L in the hope of getting a lot of responses: When Update changed its format from paper to PDF last year, the readership was not consulted. Here's your chance to express your opinion on the current format and possible alternatives. Please send your comments to ME (that is DO NOT HIT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE) [log in to unmask] by March 15 2001. I'll share them with the Publications Committee and the Executive Board. 1. What do you think of the current format, essentially the newsletter laid out for paper publication and made available as a PDF file? 2. Do you find the formal easy to read and print? 3. Would you prefer a simpler text format, perhaps sent out as a message on ARLIS-L? Or set up as a basic HTML file? 4. Would you like the e-mail addresses and URLs to be clickable links? 5. Are there other Web technologies or features that would improve Update? 6. Do you have any other comments or suggestions? Thanks.
