Dear List
Does anyone have an opinion as to who is the world leader (commercial or
institutional) for producing very high quality digital duplicates of 35mm
slides. I wish to scan the slides and then output them back onto slide film.
I am trying to see if it is possible to very precisely match the colour,
contrast and luminosity of 35mm slides which form part of art works in the
Tate's Collection. It is much harder than you would ever imagine!

Certainly it does not seem that we have a facility in London which has a
very high quality scanner and film printer and top of the range colour
management system. I have also not found anyone calibrating their machines
for precision duplication.

I would be very interested in any suggestions of where I might try in order
to get the best results. For once money is not a limiting factor but time
is. It may be the technology is not there yet.....
