Could other art libraries who have received the latest issue of Trans >
Arts, Cultures, Media (issue Trans 8) tell me what you have decided to do
with the large piece of bubble gum included in it? I think the Paul
McCarthy work is important, but our preservation people (to say nothing of
our bindery unit) are uncertain how to handle this.
One wag in preservation suggests chewing it and sticking it to the bottom of
chair-since that represents a durable and permanent state for the object.
